Don’t worry about it. Most likely the weight gain will slow down. Continue to eat healty foods, get aerobic exercise such as walking, and enjoy your pregnancy.

Don’t worry too much about the number. The 25 to 30 pounds is recommended, but if you gain 40, it doesn’t mean you’re unhealthy. I’ve already gained 25 pounds and I have 12 weeks to go!! I’ll for sure exceed the 30 pounds… But I’m very healthy, the baby is very healthy and my doctor always tells me, “don’t worry about the pounds, you’re doing great, that’s what really matters!!”
If you can’t consume less, just make sure you’re consuming the things that are good for you and baby. Lots of fruits and veggies. Avoid junk food and all that obvious stuff the best that you can. (Don’t cut it out completely, just limit it!)
There are lot of things you can do for excercise, yoga and pilates (they have specific techniques for pregnant woman, make sure you have an instructor that can show you the right way!) Walking is probably your best form of excersise!!
Good luck and congrats on the new baby!!!

hi, sweetie your pregnant, you are going to put on weight which you know you will. i don’t think you are very big at all. when i first fell pregnant with my son i went from being 65kg which is 143lbs to the end i was 173.8lbs. now once i had given birth to my baby, me weight went from 173.8lbs to 151.8lbs which is 69kg. Than i found out 4 months later i was pregnant with my second.
So i went from 151.8lbs (69kg) to where iam now which is 162.8lbs(74kg). im 21 weeks along and i show all at the front. im a small person and i have a small body figure.
So sweetie i wouldn’t worry about your weight, your pregnant and your allowed to put on this much weight as you have. You can do some walking, which will help you with your weight and when you have your baby. Good luck and congrats

I wouldn’t worry so much about your weight. As long as you are eating healthy foods and not sugars and a bunch of carbs than your weight will drop off easily after your baby is born. I has this issue too and my weight gain evened out towards the end of my second trimester. Try walking up and down steps for 15 minutes a day and do some yoga. Alot of pregnancy books will have several exercises in them that are safe to do while pregnant.

you aren’t fat, you’re pregnant. as much as i can call myself fat and huge it bothers me when other women do it (now i know how my husband feels when he says “sweetie, you have a baby inside of you, you’re not fat) lol
but walking is a great form of exercise and it’ll help in labor and delivery. i didn’t gain much weight at first and last month alone i gained 12 lbs, this month i’m dreading going to the dr because i’m sure i’ve gained at least another 10. just eat a well balanced diet and walk walk walk and you’ll be fine

I gained 61! I lost all but about five pounds. I gained that much around that time too. I used being pregnant as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted.
I know that I still gained a lot but I went to the gym at least three times a week and did an hour of cardio, the elyptical and the treadmill! You can do pretty much any exercise while pregnant!!!
I know ab exercises aren’t the easiest, I tried. lol

I felt like I was gaining a lot of weight early on too, and then after the first two months it slowed WAY down. Now my doc says I’m right on track. The first trimester is super hard becuase the foods that sound good to you are sometimes the most unhealthy ones, and you need to eat whatever doesn’t make you sick. Just try to take walks and as much as possible eat extra fruits and veggies for snacks.

yeah that happened to me too….i gained about 10 lbs fairly fast and all together i gained about 41 pounds…so don’t count on that 25-30 rule its not always true…yes its the most healthiest but alot of times it doesn’t work out that way…
as for exercising you have to do light activities you could probably type in pregnancy exercises on youtube.com and get alot of results…or just google it….take care! and great luck to you!

It’s not that big a deal! You can try Prenatal Yoga and Pilates tapes, they help with the mood swings too ;)
