Im Having Bowel Problems And Im Freaking Out! Could It Be Cancer?

by Pregancy WorkOut DVD

This started happening about 2months ago, at first just an ‘uncomfortable feeling’ in that area. A month ago i noticed spotting and talked to a friend about it and she thought it to be a haemorrhoid. Since i am told they are not majorly dangerous, i figured id wait for my doc appointment (its in 2 weeks now, it was the earliest i could get)
This week though has been horrible. I have been havin major gut cramping, and within seconds the runs. and it burns! i am in absolute agony, to the point i am balling my eyes out in the toilet. And its no longer spotting, there is lots of blood, but i cant see it in the poo, only when i wipe on the toilet paper :(
Im having a real difficulty eating right now. i just have no appetite and the moment i eat something i feel nauseous. I AM aware, that a doctor is my best bet but i still want other opinions too, please, since i still have to wait to see my doc.
Basic details:
Health conditions: Diabetic, type 2 insulin dependant
Diet: Not the best but not the worst either. I eat healthy where i can but lately, whatever is making me sick is making me more sensitive to foods. So vegies and anything else with acid makes me sick. I havent been able to eat grains for 4yrs now, since my first pregancy. They send my sugars right up and make me dizzy and sometimes throw up.
Ive been to dieticians, specialists, a few different doctors and no one can figure out what is up with my eating 0_o and its not psychological. i want to eat healthy.
Weight: Obese and having a hard time fighting down the weigh, due to eating problems.
Exercise: Im active, on my feet every day and im almost ALWAYs shopping in the city, so i keep busy.
Other: I dont smoke (used to 4yrs ago tho), and i dont take drugs, exceptions all my prescribed meds.
Any additional info, just ask please, and the re-edit your post.
Thankx

Ask your Doctor for a referral to a Gastroenterologist to check for Gastroparesis.
This condition has a lot of the symptoms you have described. In fact all. And tends to effect diabetic patients.
A LOT of Doctor’s don’t think of this condition but it is treatable.
You can email me through my profile if you have any questions.
I may not be able to tomorrow though as it’s 2:30 in the morning here.

No, it isn’t life threatening but you absolutely need to take control before it takes over your life. I’m ill with IBS and literally can’t leave the house. Please don’t get like that.

I don’t think it’s cancer but see a doctor in case you have irregular bowel movement they can give you antibiotics

What do you eat? You’re obese, but can’t eat fruits and veggies? Your rear is burning and bleeding? That’s from wiping so much. Your diet is all screwed up. You’re not eating grains, but you’re probably eating a lot of starches and carbs. I know several people with Celiac’s disease. I also know people with ibs. You need to completely stop eating any kind of wheat product, bread, cookies, donuts, gravies, etc. I almost bet if you straighten your diet up, you’ll feel better and get your system back on track. Use wipies to clean yourself with; being obese, you probably can’t get yourself very clean after a bm and the dry paper is rubbing you raw.
Symptoms of Gastroparesis
heartburn
nausea
vomiting of undigested food
an early feeling of fullness when eating
weight loss
abdominal bloating
erratic blood glucose levels
lack of appetite
gastroesophageal reflux
spasms of the stomach wall.
This isn’t was was described in the symptoms.
TD me all you want. I’m being straight on with my answer. Sometimes, the truth really does hurt.
All you mentioned were veggies and grains that you couldn’t eat. If you have a sensitive tummy, salads will aggravate your condition also. It does mine sometimes.

I don’t think it is cancer either. Colon cancer is known as the “silent” killer. Which, in your case, is a good thing meaning that you would never know you had colon cancer because there are NO symptoms! BUT, I would see a gastroenterologist asap. I work at a gastro. office and you may have a disease that needs medical attention and medicine. Crohn’s disease, colitis, …etc. The bleeding could be hemorroids. You’ll never know until you go to the md’s. You will probably need a colonoscopy I’m sure they will recommend that emmediatly. It is not that bad to have done though. People stress over colonoscopies and they are really not bad at all! You just have to be on clear liquids all day the day before and then take a bowel prep that your doc gives you to clean out the colon so that all the poo’s are gone so they can see clearly in your colon. One day of no eating and laxatives and then you’ll be all done! Good luck and don’t stress too much, it will only bother the tummy more!
