Having Trouble Losing The Weight?

by Pregancy WorkOut DVD

I have a 10 month old son and I’ve lost most of my pregnancy weight, but I’m still 50-60 lbs overweight. I’m trying to lose it, but I am having a hard time. I’m a SAHM without a vehicle, living in an area where I don’t feel comfortable going for walks with my son or near any gyms. I’ve been eating better by eliminating a lot of sweets from my diet and I’ve even given up chocolate as a new years resolution. I have a couple of Billy Blank Bootcamp DVDs as a way to exercise, but I feel silly doing them by myself which makes me not want to do them.
Can any recommend a good workout dvd(s) that doesn’t make you feel silly when you’re the only one doing them. Has anyone found something that really works for them? I want to do WeightWatchers, but can’t afford to at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can recommend two things for you that have worked wonders for me. I know its hard not to feel a little silly flailing about when you are working out. If you want to let loose and have fun, the BodyRock series from MTV are pretty good. good music to move to, and the tapes work in a way that you are building a routine of movement, I would say alot like Billy Blanks but without the monotony of the moves(that was why i got so bored of his tapes).
Another option is someone you may have heard of recently, celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. He has a book out called 5-factor diet. This book gives you every tool you could need. Recipes, fitness plans, exercise diagrams. The system works based on a 5 week program. You only need to get yourself some hand weights and an exercise ball(about 30$ total). You work out 5 days a week for about 25-60 minutes(25 being sufficient, 60 being to extend your cardio), and you watch what you eat(eat 6 times a day, trust me you will be full), and one day of cheating to eat anything your heart desires. It is working wonders for me. It’s easy, there are no crazy food items to buy and everything is available in the grocery store. Even recipes are made to be easy to keep you motivated. There is an option to join his website group to get extra tips and recipes, but i would think that your own motivation is usually enough, and the book is FULL of recipes. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something to work on at home.
Good luck!

If no one’s watching you, there’s no reason to feel silly. Anyhow, would you rather feel silly, or be fat?
Ya gotta get off your “buts.” Join the gym. They usually have child care.
BTW Is Billy Blank the guy with the very weirdly-shaped head?

i really enjoyed doing walk a way the pounds. i have two kids so i constantly get interrupted during it but it doesn’t matter because it mainly focuses on you just getting up and moving. the kids even joined in sometimes making it more challenging but fun.

Get Pilates, its fun and results are guaranteed. Don’t forget self discipline and finding motivation is always a got-to-have.
