If you haven’t been working out regularly, you should stick to walking–don’t suddenly start an exercise routine that you’re not used to. You can buy a pregnancy yoga DVD, but I would find an in-person class to take first so you know what you are doing.
I go to aquanatal classes and also go swimming. Antenatal yoga is supposed to be very good too… Also – classes specially for pregnancy are a great way to meet other mums to be.
Go swimming ! i swam all the way throughout my pregnancy and it felt ace and its low impact x Also because i was so fit i managed to be lucky enough to have a one hour labour ! have fun x
forget workouts, just swim three times a wk, the water supports your weight and it works your entire body, and will help you get back in shape after the little one is born. less stress on your joints as well. swim swim swim.
I would suggest walking. Leslie Sansone has a wonderful Walk away the pounds DVD that you can do at home. Of course you need to talk to your doctor first
Ditto to the swimming!
It’s a great low-impact workout. And really fantastic in the later months when balance is an issue. Just be careful to watch your heart rate. If you go to a gym ask a trainer about a good target heart rate for someone who is pregnant.Your OB should also be able to tell you.
You can also add resistance training in the water by using “water weights” or just some cheap water wings blown up.

I think walking is very good exercise during pregnancy. If you want to try a dvd I like the Denise Austin pregnancy workouts.
