I’m not pregnant, but I’m just wondering for another reason. Can you do pilates while pregnant? Is there any information out there about pilates during pregnancy being negative or positive?

You can do it, but the positions are really modified, you have to skip ab routines, and after the first trimester you can’t do any of the exercises that require you to lay flat on your back, which are a big chunk of them. I’m sure you could find a dvd that’s geared toward pregnancy though. Have you considered doing yoga? I’ve found it to be much easier and better for me than pilates during pregnancy and it has similar toning properties.
yes. Its similar to yoga but dont do any stomach/ab exercises and avoid laying on your stomach. First few weeks on your pregnancy you can lay down on your back but my dr told me towards sec trimester avoid laying down on your back.
Yes you can, but you should tell your instructor that you are pregnant because there are some exercises you shouldn’t do – your ligaments are looser than usual.
Yes pilates and yoga are very good during pregnancy because it keeps your muscles limber
I do. I just avoid the abdominal exercises or anything that makes me feel uncomfortable.
yes my wife did it
its better to start early so you get use to it
