I had a c section with my son and you should probably wait the six weeks even though you feel fine there is still alot of healing taking place inside. You could tear the inner stiches and end up with major problems. i know it seems like a long time but it will be worth healing properly.

I would wait until your appt...there's a lot of internal healing that needs to go on...even though you may feel good, you can't see what's going on internally. I have done Windsor Pilates...it would be great once you get the OK from your dr, but requires a lot of core strength. The last thing you want to do would be to injure yourself when you need to take care of a newborn, all for the hope of getting tone three weeks earlier than your doctor recommends.
I think that kegals are OK to do right away, if you feel OK.
Also, it would be a good idea to do the pilates with a good instructor (versus a video, etc.) There are a lot of subtle movements and ways you need to position your body for the excercises to be really effective.

Don't do too much too soon. I did and I poped out 3 staples. NOT FUN!! Breast feeding helped me and I put the baby in the stroller and walked, watched what I ate. NO junk. It will come off. Just take your time. Don't rush it!! Good luck!!
