Oh boy can I relate. Pilate's does firm your stomach, but if you have a lot of skin because of your pregnancies or due to yo-yo dieting, you can only firm up so much. I am trying to lose 40 too. I wish you luck my friend, it is so hard.

Divide your body weight in half. Drink that many ounces of water per day. The rest of the time eat raw (washed) brocolli. You can have lean chicken or fish at dinner. You can have a glass or two of wine at dinner. No caffeine the entire week. You will lose about 10 pounds. My daughter was traveling with my husband for a week and I was so motivated by the weight loss I saw that I could not help but continue trying to keep this up off and on until I reached my ideal weight. I still have broccoli as much as possible for breakfast and lunch. I go back to what I heard Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers say once, "You don't have to LIKE it, you just have to EAT it." Also, I realized I was doing alot of anxiety eating. The vitamin 5-HTP (8.00 for a one month supply at Walmart) was SO helpful with the self control in doing this. If you are the kind of person that doesn't go to the bathroom when your body tells you to, doesn't eat when you're body tells you to, you may be anxiety eating or starvation eating and this is not going to work. That is, also, another reason to stay away from caffeine. It may give you a boost, and coffee has many antioxidant properties, but, anxiety is the reason alot of people eat unnecessarily. I've seen people get so skinny on Pilates, too, so either way. However, I prefer to eat my way thin with healthy foods before working out:) Good Luck!

My advice would have to be my personal story. 31 days ago I weighed in at 251 pounds and was a size 42 waist which was really to tight as I could have fit into 44's. I decided to make a change (again as I have tried so mnay things in my life but failed). I implemented a natural and healthy no diet weight loss plan along with a natural and healthy energy drink into my life. As of today (day 31) I am down to 227 (24 pounds) and also I have lost 2 3/4" in my waist. My 42's are gone and I am now in 40's and they are a little loose as well. I am a 45 year old male and I am a Pastor as well so you can be assured that this personal testimony is absolutely true. This was without dieting, skipping meals, eating special foods, or exercising

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Cut down on your portions and eat more small meals throughout the day. Exercise at least 20 minutes a day 3 times a week. Other than that you just need to give it time. It can take a couple of weeks before you start to notice a weight loss. Keep in mind - that from the exercise you're toning up and developing muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat but is compact. So you may actually gain weight but trim down if that makes any sense. Don't give up - lots of luck!!!
